IBS (Intelligent Building Solutions) provides complete solutions for the intelligent building automation. We are a technology company which designs and manufactures its own products, due to this fact we are not relying on other vendors products and therefore we are in the position to deliver custom solutions in order to meet efficiently and rapidly a customer requirements. Our product range includes inter-connected electronic hardware components for controlling, inspecting and monitoring the automated devices within a building such as lighting, heating, air-conditioning, doors and locks, video surveillance, different sensors and detectors like movement, smoke and other electrical and electronic devices. A software, perfectly fitting our electronic devices architecture, called ESS (Environmental Settings Software – ESS) provides an efficient and comfortable way to handling of an entire IBS-network at home or everywhere from the internet using a PC or mobile device such as Smart Phone, IPhone or PDA. Via an intuitive graphical user interface any private person as well as business customers can easily monitor and control their automated home or building.

The very powerful ESS software for configuration and controlling of the system is provided free of charge to the customers of IBS. Therefore our solutions are very economically priced but in the same time they offer a high level of flexibility and efficiency, they are easy to install and to be configured, also they can be easily extended or modified to your needs.

The goal of IBS is a strong consolidation of the building automation system with ones regular computer and TCP/IP network-based (LAN, Internet, etc.) environment. Given the fact that everything beside the house automation cabling infrastructure and controlling equipment system, which ends at the CIB-tech / ESS USB interface, is running on any regular PC (Windows, Linux, MacOS) in a network even to the point of having the option for a seamless integration of TCP/IP based voice- and video-controlled video conference functionality of your intelligent system of IBS.

The ESS software is licensed under Open Source - GNU General Public License, all hardware components of IBS are based on the CAN-Bus (Controller-area network) communication standard organized in a so called CIB-tech network (Complete Integration Bus technology). CIB-tech is a highly flexible and reliable rather commonly designed system for building automation engineered by IBS.

With the support of device components and solutions from IBS you may exploit your entire potential of increasing energy efficiency, security and comfort. At the same time you contribute to protect our environment by avoiding needless energy consumption but also saving costs at your own advantage.

What does an automated building stand for:
  • One may call a building as being automated if there is a network of control, monitoring and operating components in place, in order to automate some functions of this building.
  • The equipment may consist of detectors, sensors, controlling devices for the control and handling of existing installations from a central unit, gathering and saving the existing information and data. Based on these information, specific and desired actions can be taken.
  • The sensors of a building may measure and decide for taking action upon information like movement, humidity, gas, smoke, temperature, digital keys or ID-cards.
  • The controlling units may activate, deactivate or change certain parameters of switches, light sources, heating or cooling devices, video cameras, window shelter, doors and locks, etc...
  • The central unit for controlling the entire network consists of several software modules which receive, save and process the available information. Furthermore this central unit provides a connector for a GUI software where the end user can control, configure, monitor actual settings and review history events from the past.

Benefits of an IBS System

Little expenses, transparency of costs
Exact and accurate overview of the low costs and easy to calculate price overview since only the controlling components need to be bought, the entire Software for configuration, design, and running the system is free of charge. No additional software for the configuration and operation of an IBS system is required. Also, at any time it's possible to reconfigure or extend the system, eventually even by the customer himself.
End-Device Freedom of Choice
Various possibilities in terms of planning and designing the system since CIB-tech controlling components are compatible with any kind of regular end devices, see CIB-tech. No special, usually quite expensive EIB/KNX, LON or other similar light switches, relays, temperature regulators or other kind of actuators are required.
Login-based Right Structures
The end user can connect via LAN or Internet to the system watching, changing settings, monitoring or managing his home. The login is done based on user authentication so that one can operate using sets of user rights, different views, configuration settings, access rights, etc. per user can be defined.
Interactive, Dynamic Control
Via the graphical user interface or scripts an user can interactively communicate with the end devices, check their value and states, review history of devices, apply settings, modify the behavior of scenarios, dynamically modify or adapt inter-relationship between controlling components, etc. Re-programming of controlling equipment is therefore not required.
Modify Configuration Dynamically
All controlling devices of a CIB-tech network can communicate with each other, e.g. sensors can feed other components with information based on these values certain actions will be carried out. All this can be dynamically changed while system is running. Arbitrary links to other components can be performed on the fly.
Instant Bi-directional Communication
The communication of the controlling devices is bi-directional, a controlling device always communicates the state of its end device back to the software. Actions and states are not just received or changed by commands via GUI or server-side settings but also captured and propagated back to the server/GUI.
Custom Solutions
Due to the fact that all information about the state of each individual end device in the network and the operating with scripts, IBS is in the position to also meet rather complex requirements. Almost unlimited possibilities are available to the customer by the possibility of widely extending the artificial intelligence of automated buildings.
Various Options and Possibilities
Because of the in-house Know How and the fact that our solutions come from one source, IBS offers to its customers the option to design adapted or new controlling components on short notice in order to fit special needs and requirements on site by integrating special end devices into our system.
Free Design of GUI Appearance
Buildings can be pictured by floor plans or other aspects to the graphical user interface. Any number of so called forms can be added or removed from the layout, arbitrary controlling components of the entire system can be included, it is no problem to place one device onto several forms. The layout of the forms can be done and modified at any time by the customer.
